Programme Overview
Vision:
To create inclusive, self-reliant, and poverty-free communities through participatory grassroots development in Sierra Leone.
Mission:
To empower marginalised populations, especially women, youth, and persons with disabilities through livelihood enhancement, social inclusion, capacity building, and advocacy.
Overall Goal (2026–2029):
To reduce poverty and promote inclusive socio-economic development among vulnerable groups across the Northern, Eastern, and Southern provinces of Sierra Leone.
Strategic Objectives
1. Enhance Livelihoods and Economic Empowerment of rural and peri-urban households through skills development, micro enterprise, and agricultural support.
2. Promote Social Inclusion and Equality for women-victims of domestic violence (including women leaving prison), youth affected by substance misuse, and persons with disabilities (PWDS) and mental health challenges.
3. Strengthen Community Governance and Participation in local development.
4. Improve Access to Basic Social Services including education, health, and clean water.
5. Build Institutional Capacity of GDSIPR for effective programme delivery, monitoring, and sustainability.

To empower communities in Sierra Leone through inclusive social development, livelihood enhancement, and participatory poverty relief programs that promote self-reliance and social justice.
